We are proud to recognize people within Penticton who are Community Heroes. Wednesday night's Community Hero was Mike Pond!

The Penticton Recovery Resource Society operates The Discovery House, the long-term, live-in abstinence based addiction recovery home in Penticton.

In addition, the society provides live-in recovery support services for clients along with aftercare to ensure successful, stable transitions into the community.

Mike has been involved with the Discovery House since day one and is now the Board President of the society. After overcoming his own addictions, he's provided hours of his time helping others and has become a stabilizing influence within the organization and focuses on organizing local fundraisers.
