Joe accessed one of our Corrections funded beds and is now living in our Parker Place Independent Living home.
Discovery House would like to give a huge shout out to alumnus Joe Grinder on achieving a year free from substance use! Woot, woot...
Joe says his key to succeeding in recovery this time is total surrender. Surrender is defined as: "giving in to the winning side".
And Joe sure has done this... Joe has reconnected with his kids, his partner & is becoming the man & father he always hoped to be. Joe participates regularly in Discovery House alumni events showing his peers in recovery that anything is possible.
Joe says he loves going to work everyday, and plans to continue working his recovery because he loves his life today. Joe also points to enjoying his hobbies like fixing up old vehicles & taking family trips to hot springs as being an integral part of his recovery.
We are super proud of our Brother in Recovery. Nowhere to go but up from here. Way to go Joe!
