Travis spent 6 months at our Winnipeg Street home, before continuing his recovery journey at Round Lake Treatment Centre. Travis currently lives in his home community of Westbank First Nation.
Discovery House is ecstatic to congratulate our Brother in Recovery and alumnus Travis S in achieving a year free from substance use. We were excited to welcome Travis into our first dedicated Indigenous treatment bed in Oct 2021.
We appreciated working with the Westbank First Nation & the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions to provide the space & support for Travis to start his recovery journey. It has been a blessing to witness Travis work so hard to get where he is today! Travis has reconnected with his traditional practices, his family and community and is inspiring others to give recovery a shot. We love you & are proud of you brother!
